Thomas Edison's Laboratory

Discover where America’s greatest inventor changed our world forever as you step into Thomas Edison’s private laboratory, now a National Park.

For the last 44 years of his life, Edison worked in this unassuming building located in nearby West Orange, NJ. After an overview led by a National Park Ranger, visit Edison’s library, stock room, machine shop, extensive phonograph gallery and even his private office.

See where Edison invented the motion picture camera, phonographs, silent and sound movies, the alkaline battery and many more innovations that truly changed the world.

Prior to visiting the lab, enjoy a three course lunch at the Spanish Pavilion Restaurant featuring unlimited sangria!
