Behold the world famous Royal Lipizzaner Stallions, performing in a rare area appearance! A special breed, the Lipizzaners are a mix of Andalusian and Arabian bloodlines created by Vienna’s imperial court in 1580. Bred to be a sturdy and agile warhorse, these exquisite animals have to be seen to be believed.
Witness their unique heritage in a performance that features high kicks, two-legged stances and more, each requiring enormous skill, strength and balance. Performing these maneuvers, originally designed for the battlefield, the stallions seem to dance across the ring. Don’t miss the signature Lipizzaner flying leap!
Ridden and handled by a team made entirely of female riders, their royal nature and incredible ability are unmatched. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience presented at the historic Roseland Cottage in Woodstock, CT.
Begin the day with a tour of Roseland Cottage, a summer "cottage" of the American Royalty. Roseland is one of the best preserved Gothic Revival houses in the country, with virtually intact interior décor.
Before the show, enjoy Sunday brunch at the prestigious Inn at Woodstock Hill (below), known for its picturesque, elegant setting.
