Newly revitalized Pittsburgh, known as the Steel City and City of Bridges, is a leading US city that has evolved through several rebirths. Once an industrial center, the vibrant “New Pittsburgh” is rated as one of America’s best places to live. At the crossing of three rivers, the city is a combination of skyscrapers, bridges, historic architecture and sparkling water. Experience the best of The Burgh!

Day 1 - Pittsburgh and the Incline (D)
Arrive in the Steel City to check into your home for two nights – The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown, just a short walk from the Cultural District. Begin your trip in  earnest, with an elegant dining experience at  LeMont Restaurant, located atop Mt. Washington. With a sky-high view of Pittsburgh, be treated to a gourmet meal at the city’s only Five-Star Diamond Award-Winning Restaurant.

After dinner, ride one of the city’s favorite attractions, the Duquesne Incline! Named by USA Today as “one of the top 10 sites for viewing a cityscape,” ride the century-old, wooden cable car to see the city sparkling against the night sky.

Day 2 - Steel City (B, L)
Get to know Steel City this morning on a guided driving tour. See “all the city” including historic landmarks and skyscrapers in the Golden Triangle. Be amazed by the architecturally restored neighborhoods and the Cultural District, with stops at a historic church and a mountain overlook. This afternoon, enter a world of beauty at the Phipps Conservatory, the cultural and architectural centerpiece of the city. A soaring steel and glass Victorian greenhouse, Phipps is surrounded by some of the country’s most exclusive gardens and specimen flowers, cultivated since the late 1800s. On a private tour with a conservatory expert, see how Phipps goes beyond flowers, with extensive plant collections, history and exhibits.

After the tour, explore the grounds and be sure to visit the Sunken Garden, the Tropical Conservatory, the Broderie Room, the Fruit and Spice Room and more . Enjoy lunch at the Garden’s award-winning Cafe Phipps, named “Best Museum Restaurant” by Food & Wine Magazine.

Enhance Your Trip - Twilight Dinner Cruise
See why Pittsburgh is called the City of Bridges, as you cruise the Three Rivers connecting the city. See the city from the water while enjoying an extensive buffet featuring Pittsburgh’s favorite specialty foods.
Optional Tour - $75 per person

Day 3 - Fallingwater (B)
On your final day, witness the genius of famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright on a guided tour of one of his most well-known creations. The incredible Fallingwater is one of the most celebrated examples of Mr. Wright’s architecture in the world. Developed as a residential home, witness how the building draws the outdoors in, with numerous terraces, open-air  walkways and unexpected views of the trees and water. Relax on the ride home from your Steel City adventure!
