It’s a long weekend, spring escape to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city! On the banks of the Ottawa River, the city is known for its European feel, medieval castles, charming people, spectacular skyline, and the famous Tulip Festival. Join us for a Bon Voyage to this river city bursting with color, history and highlights!

Day 1 – Onward to Ottawa (D)
Arriving in Ottawa, be welcomed at the Lord Elgin Hotel, located in the center of downtown, near many of the city’s historic and cultural landmarks, cafes, shops and more! Kick off the trip with a group dinner at the Fish Market Restaurant.

Day 2 – Best of Ottawa (B, D)
Bring your camera and your sense of adventure as you explore the best of Canada’s capital city on a guided tour. With your expert guide, visit Parliament Hill, the world famous Museum of History, Sussex Drive and more. After working up an appetite, visit the Byward Market, the Belly of the City! This afternoon, see the city from an entirely different perspective, cruising the Rideau Canal. From the water, be amazed at the city’s architecture, history and rich cultural heritage.

Finish the day with an exceptional dinner at The Courtyard Restaurant, one of the city’s oldest and finest eating establishments, dating back to the early 1800’s!

Day 3 – Tulip Festival (B)
Stop and smell the… tulips at the 66th Annual Ottawa Tulip Festival. With celebrations across the city, begin with a visit to the royal tulip legacy at Commissioner’s Park! On an hour-long walking tour with your expert guide, stroll the shores of Dow’s Lake, mass-planted with more than 250,000 tulips in a show-stopping explosion of color! Next, it’s on to Lansdowne Park Gallery, featuring a festive, fair-like atmosphere with exhibitions, art installations, live entertainment, an artisan market, international friendship activities and more!

Day 4 – Governor’s Home and Fireworks! (B)
For a taste of history, step inside Rideau Hall, the official residence of Canada’s Governor General. On a guided tour, see where the governor general fulfills official duties, honors Canadians and the home’s magnificent collection of art and antiques. The rest of the day is yours to relax, revisit your favorite parts of the city or discover new ones. Tonight, say farewell to the city with a blast! With reserved seating, enjoy spectacular fireworks over Dow’s Lake while seated among the tulips in Commissioner’s Park. Toast the trip with a complimentary “Tulip Julip” Cocktail during the fireworks presentation!

Day 5 – Au Revoir (B)
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, say au revoir to Ottawa before heading home with new friends and fun memories.
