Day 1 - Baltimore to Roanoke Rapids (D)
The festivities begin with an afternoon at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor with new wharfs, cafes, shops and more. Arriving in Roanoke, NC, enjoy dinner, then finish the day with a restful night at The Hampton Inn.
Day 2 - Oh Savannah! (B, D)
On arrival in Savannah, check into the Staybridge Suites, your Savannah home for two nights, located in the heart of downtown. Be introduced to the city during dinner at The Pirate’s House Restaurant, a famous port stop since 1753!
Day 3 – Belle of the South (B)
This morning, it’s a Low Country driving tour featuring the Beach at Tybee, Fort Pulaski and Tybee Island Lighthouse.
Back in the city, explore the famous Riverstreet historic district and take a guided tour past antebellum homes, massive churches and town squares giving the city its other name: “The Belle of the South.”
The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore as you like.
Day 4 – The Golden Isles (B, D)
Spend the day enjoying the “Golden Isles of Georgia!” Begin with the quaint waterfront town of Pier Village on St. Simon Island, with its pictuersque pier and lighthouse. Then, it’s on to the famous Jekyll Island, a gilded era retreat!
On a narrated tram tour through Jekyll Island’s Historic District, visit Victorian cottages, Faith Chapel, stroll under moss-draped oaks and more.
For a well-deserved rest, check into the Holiday Inn Resorts, your water front oasis for the next two nights. Just steps from a pristine beach, the hotel features an expansive pool and outdoor deck overlooking the Atlantic.
Tonight, it’s a southern tradition as you savor an authentic Low Country Boil served with ocean views on the hotel’s Beach House Patio.
Day 5 – Beach Day! (B)
Wake up with the ocean spray, enjoying the day as you like. Relax at the hotel or discover your own island adventure. Ask your Tour Director for recommendations!
Day 6 – Tea and Plantation! (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we’re Charleston bound! On the way, enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience visiting America’s only working Tea Plantation. Take a personal, behind-the-scenes tour, led by a world-renowned tea taster.
Highlights include a trolley ride, factory tour, tea tasting and lunch on the plantation. Enjoy dinner at Hyman’s Seafood in Charleston’s historic district. Turn in at the Holiday Inn Riverview Hotel, your home for the next two nights.
Day 7 – Charming Charleston (B, D)
Roll through 300 years of history on a horse-drawn carriage tour of Charleston’s historic district, filled with the antebellum mansions, gardens, legends, humor and more.
Tonight, board The Spirit of Carolina for an elegant dinner cruise with live entertainment! Enjoy a four-course dinner while cruising past Fort Sumter ablaze with lights, along the Battery Harbor and beneath the Ravenel Bridge.
Day 8 – Northern Bound (B, D)
Begin the journey home today, heading back to Roanoke Rapids. Toast the trip with a complimentary glass of wine during a farewell dinner before turning in at The Hampton Inn.
Day 9 – Home By Way of DC (B)
On the way home, enjoy a final stop in Washington, DC’s new Capitol Riverfront, booming with shops, cafes, waterfront walkways and much more. It’s the perfect finish to your southern get away!
