Head north to the ocean breezes and salt air of summer in New England!  Make the most of Maine, The Vacation State, visiting Acadia National Park,  Campobello Island, plus lobster and more lobster! 

Day 1 – Kennebunkport Kick-Off (D)
Arrive in Maine to explore the famous town of Kennebunkport! From there, we’ll check into the Fairfield Inn in Bangor, our home for the next three nights. After settling in, toast the start of your trip with a welcome dinner at The Lucerne Restaurant. Perched high on a hill overlooking Phillips Lake, savor a fine dining experience with New England charm and a glass of champagne!

Day 2 – Acadia By Sea (B, L)
Acadia National Park is the crown jewel of the North Atlantic Coast, protecting the natural beauty of the high rocky cliffs leading to the sea. Experience the beauty and grandeur of one of the Top 10 Most Visited National Parks in the USA as you cruise the shores of Acadia aboard a jet-powered catamaran. Led by an expert naturalist and a park ranger,  witness unique, ocean-side views of Acadia’s granite peaks, glacially carved shores, historic lighthouses and wild landscapes. The sea breezes, mountain air and stunning scenery will take your breath away! After your Acadian morning, it’s lunch at the Bar Harbor Lobster Bake Restaurant! Enjoy your own lobster, mussels, corn-on-the-cob and more. Or, if you prefer, choose steak or baked haddock. The rest of the day and night is yours! Explore the quaint resort town of Bar Harbor for sightseeing on your own. Don’t miss this striking town surrounded by Frenchman Bay and the Porcupine Islands, set against the backdrop of beautiful Cadillac Mountain. Tonight, enjoy the shops, cafes and  restaurants in Bangor, the hometown of  Paul Bunyan and Stephen King.

Day 3 – Tea with Eleanor and Campobello Island (B, L, T)
Just over the border on the Canadian coast, Campobello Island is home to the Roosevelt Cottage, the treasured summer retreat of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. On a guided tour, see The Cottage preserved exactly as it was in 1920 and take an adventure around the island grounds, featuring behind-the-scenes access and secret stories of the world’s only international park. Expert guides will share stories of Eleanor’s life accompanied by cookies and her favorite blend of tea. Served on linen tablecloths and fine china, it will be like having tea with Eleanor herself! On the way home, stop for dinner on your own in Ellsworth, the fastest growing town in Maine which still maintains its small-town charm!

Day 4 – Maine Lobster Festival (B)
What do you get when you mix the world’s largest lobster cooker, a sea goddess and more than 20,000 pounds of lobster? The Maine Lobster Festival, named one of the best food festivals in the USA! Enjoy the festival, hosted in Rockland, a classic, harbor town that boasts a windjammer fleet and a unique, breakwater lighthouse! Tonight, relax at the Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Freeport. Choose from many restaurants for dinner on your own and shopping Freeport’s famous outlets!

Day 5 – Home by Portsmouth (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll journey southbound, stopping at the famous Portsmouth Seaport in Portsmouth, NH. Known as one of the liveliest cities in New England, enjoy  Portsmouth’s cafes, restaurants and shops before heading home with new friends and new memories.
