Pittsburgh, known as the Steel City and the City of Bridges, is a leading American city that has gone through several rebirths. With a storied history as one of the key industrial cities in the country, the “New Pittsburgh” is vibrant and rated “one of America’s best places to live.” Located at the crossing of three rivers, the city skyline features a unique combination of towering skyscrapers, bridges and water.

Day 1 - Steel City and the Incline (D)
Arrive in the Steel City to check into your home for two nights – The Hampton Inn Waterfront hotel. Tonight, visit one of the city’s favorite attractions, the Duquesne Incline, named by USA Today as “one of the top ten sites for viewing a cityscape.” Step back in time on a century-old, wooden cable car for the best views, while riding one of the few remaining inclines in the country.  Upon reaching the summit, enjoy an unforgettable dinner at Le Mont atop Mt. Washington, with a rare, sky-high view of the city. You’ll be treated to a glass of wine as you toast your fellow travelers.

Day 2 - Phipps, Duck Tour and Carnegie (B, L)
Enter a world of flowers at the Phipps Conservatory, the cultural and architectural centerpiece of the city. A soaring steel and glass Victorian greenhouse, Phipps is surrounded by exclusive gardens, cultivated since the late 1800s. On a private tour, see how Phipps goes beyond flowers. Visit the Garden Railroad with miniature trains chugging through the Sunken Garden, the Tropical Conservatory, the Spice Room, and much more.

Enjoy lunch at the Garden’s award-winning Cafe, named “Best Museum Restaurant in the US” by FOOD & WINE Magazine. Continue the day on both land and water with the famous Duck Tour! Roll through The “Burgh’s” diverse neighborhoods on a famous Duck Tour. See the Cultural District, downtown, the US Steel Tower, and more, before your Duck boat splashes into the water to cruise the city’s three rivers. Your expert guide will delight you with stories and secrets of the city, with jokes that will have you “quacking up!”

This afternoon discover “the old masters of tomorrow” at the Carnegie Museum of Art. On a guided tour with a museum docent, view the incredible collection of one of the most popular and esteemed cultural institutions in the world.

Rare Dining Experience - Optional Dinner - $85 per person
Enoy an elegant dinner at the Grand Concourse Train Station Restaurant! Enhance your trip with a rare dining experience inside a beautifully preserved, old world train station. The Grand Concourse features an elegant dining room with a dramatic stained-glass cathedral ceiling. Be transported to turn-of-the-century glamor. On the water, with skyline views, toast with a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 3: Fallingwater (B)
Your final day in Pittsburgh features yet another Pittsburgh highlight! Witness the genius of famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright on a guided tour of one of his most well known creations, the incredible Fallingwater, one of the most celebrated examples of Mr. Wright’s architecture in the world. Developed as a residential home, witness how Frank Lloyd Wright designed the building to draw the outdoors in, with numerous terraces, open-air walkways and unexpected views of the trees and water. After time for lunch on your own at Fallingwater, relax on the ride home with the new friends you made on your Steel City adventure.
