Then, it’s off to an early dinner at the Cork n’ Hearth Restaurant. Bring your appetite for hearty, American fare before heading to Tanglewood for the evening performance! Boston Pops, The Boston Symphony Orchestra and The Tanglewood Orchestra all come together on one stage, for a single, extended concert. The traditional Tanglewood on Parade finale will take your breath away as Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture booms throughout the venue set to spectacular fireworks. This is a sight not to be missed, again or for the first time! Witness this incredible extravaganza from your excellent seats “Under The Shed.”
Day 2 - A Berkshire Bounty (B, L)
Experience the quintessential New England nature of the Berkshires on a guided driving tour of the Quaboag Hills. During the back road mountain tour, you’ll see rambling stone walls, tall white steeples, colonial homes and more. Around each bend comes a new discovery far from the beaten path. For a taste of New England, we’ll visit the Salem Cross Inn, named “Best of New England” by Yankee magazine. The Inn is known for its gorgeous setting and mouth-watering, 1700s-style fireplace feasts. Witness the Inn’s baker prepare their deep-dish apple pie from scratch right before your eyes. Lend a hand with the baking or at the hearth, or just sit back and relax among the colonial comfort while enjoying cheese, crackers and local cider. Be sure to leave plenty of room for your meal prepared in the fieldstone fireplace, finished with apple pie and mounds of fresh made whipped cream!
