Warm up with the southern hospitality of Savannah, Charleston and The Golden Isles!

Day 1 - Baltimore to Roanoke Rapids (D)
The festivities begin at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor with new boardwalks, cafes, shops and more. Arriving in Grand Rapids, NC, celebrate with a welcome dinner and complimentary wine at David’s Restaurant. Finish the day with a restful night at The Sleep Inn.

Day 2 - Oh Savannah! (B, D)
On arrival in Savannah, check into the Hotel Indigo, your Savannah home for three nights, located in the heart of the Historic District. Be introduced to the city during dinner at The River House Restaurant, an 1820’s cotton warehouse!

Day 3 – Belle of the South (B, D)
On a guided tour of this riverfront city, meander cobblestone streets, past antebellum homes and historic town squares. After a day with the Belle, spend an evening with the Lady! A delicious dinner awaits at Lady and Sons Restaurant, owned by famous southern chef, Paula Dean.

Day 4 Optiaonal Day - The Golden Isles (B)
Today is yours to spend relaxing on your own in Savannah. Or, choose an optional day spent on the “Golden Isles of Georgia!” Board a tram for a narrated tour through Jekyll Island’s Historic District, explore St. Simon Village, stroll under moss-draped oaks and enjoy the southern charm. The finale of the day is a three course, sunset dinner at the famous Jekyll Island Club, named “one of the World’s Best Resorts” by Travel & Leisure Magazine. Just $99 per person for this essentially Southern day!

Day 5 – Plantations! (B, L, D)
Visit America’s only working Tea Plantation. Led by a world-renowned tea taster, go on a behind-the-scenes tour with a trolley ride, tea tasting and plantation lunch. This afternoon, be transported to the time of high society at a low country plantation dating back to the 18 century. Savor a taste of the south during a private tasting of Madeira wine, once the signature wine of Charleston! Dance the night away aboard a dinner cruise set against the city skyline. You’ll be glad for a restful evening at the Hampton Inn after so many highlights!

Day 6 – Charming Charleston (B, D)
Roll through 300 years of history on a Colonial horse-drawn carriage tour filled with antebellum mansions, gardens, legends, humor and more covering 30 blocks of Charleston’s historic district. Next, it’s all aboard for a narrated cruise as you learn the dramatic history of Charleston Harbor. Disembark to legends and hear the echoes of the first shots fired during a guided tour at Fort Sumter, where the Civil War began.

Day 7 – North Bound (B, D)
We begin the first stage of our journey home today, heading back where it all began in Roanoke Rapids. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride with new friends. Toast the trip with a complimentary glass of wine during a farewell dinner back at David’s Restaurant before turning in at The Sleep Inn.

Day 8 – Home By Way of DC (B)
Enjoy a final stop at DC’s new Capitol Riverfront, booming with shops, cafes, waterfront walkways and much more. It’s the perfect finish to your southern get away!
