Enjoy the beauty, legends and history of the Thousand Islands, spanning the US and Canadian border, famous for their Gatsby-style past, stunning nature and the world’s most famous salad dressing.

Day 1: Thousand Islands & Alexandria Bay, NY (D)
Travel along the edge of the Adirondack Mountains on the way to the town of Alexandria Bay. Located at the northern border of New York on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, Alexandria Bay is a quaint riverside village featuring spectacular views, many attractions and just one stop light! Begin your trip with a welcome reception before checking in to your home for the next three nights, the Riveredge Resort. Overlooking the river, located directly across from Boldt Castle, you can watch a variety of “lakers”, “salties”, and river boats from the privacy of your waterfront room with balcony! Tonight, tuck into a dinner buffet in the Harborview Ballroom.

Day 2: A Two-Nation Cruise and Boldt Castle (B)
After a leisurely breakfast, it’s all aboard a two-nation river cruise on American and Canadian waters, through the heart of the Thousand Islands. Cruise the emerald green waters of the mighty St. Lawrence River, traveling through narrow channels, over historic sunken wrecks, past magnificent mansions and more. Back on land, travel through history during a visit to Boldt Castle, the grand, 110 year old castle that seems to float in the center of the river. Built on Heart Island by the former owner of the Waldorf-Astoria, Boldt Castle boasts incredible views and a romantic history. You’ll have time to explore the castle and its island on your own before we head to the nearby Thousand Islands Winery for a tour and tasting of wonderful local wines.

Day 3: Alexandria Bay or A Day in Ottawa (B)
Today you can relax and explore Alexandria Bay on your own, or choose an optional tour to Canada’s Capital City of Ottawa, just a short drive over the border.

ADD TO YOUR FUN! Optional Ottawa Day Trip with Dinner only $99!
See the best of Ottawa with a guided tour including Parliament Hill, the House of Commons, the Royal Canadian Mint, the Prime Minister’s Home and more. Be on the lookout for “mounties” and more  Canuck” sites including a visit to Byward Market, one of Canada’s oldest and largest public markets. You’ll be treated to a “Beavertail,” a uniquely Canadian treat, followed by time for lunch on your own as you explore the market. Your optional “Oh Canada Day” wouldn’t be complete without a special dinner at the Fish Market Restaurant.

Day 4: Alexandria Bay (B)
