A trade organization or a secret society? Established in 1786, The Free Mason Grand Lodge is a soaring gothic temple and a national historic landmark. Is it a coincidence that it is located directly across the street from Philadelphia’s City Hall? Go behind the scenes of this secret guild on a guided tour and learn about the Mason’s secret rituals. Be amazed by the Grand Foyer, Gothic Hall, Temple and Library while learning about some of its most famous members, including Ben Franklin, George Washington and other founding fathers. Your three-course lunch will be another historic affair at City Tavern, a Colonial watering hole and one of Philly’s oldest restaurants.
