Join us for the best of New England’s fall foliage! Climb sky high above the clouds, ride the rails and cruise the waters. It’s a week of favorites and a perfect fall get away!

Day 1: Portsmouth Seaport (D)
Stroll the famous Portsmouth Seaport known for local character, unique shops, restaurants and water views that make it one of the liveliest cities in New England! After lunch on your own, take to the water aboard The Heritage, for a narrated cruise along the Portsmouth Bay. Celebrate the start of your trip with a threecourse, welcome dinner at the Woodstock Inn. Settle in for two relaxing nights at the Eagle Mountain House, featuring four-poster beds, period furnishings and New England charm.

Day 2: Mt. Washington (B, L)
Go above the clouds at Castle in the Clouds, an iconic, turn-of-the-century mansion perched high on a mountaintop. Overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee, explore the Castle Mansion, the Carriage House and Art Gallery. From the clouds, climb across the sky on a vintage rail journey aboard the world’s first mountain-climbing Cog Train. Ascend the Northeast’s highest peak, the famous Mt. Washington with spectacular panoramic views, stretching to across three states and to the Atlantic Ocean. Returning to the Eagle Mountain House, relax on the 280 foot wraparound porch and soak in the beauty of the White Mountains. Enjoy dinner on your own at the hotel or explore the many cafes and restaurants downtown. Ask your Tour Director for suggestions!

Day 3: VT’s Little Grand Canyon (B)
The Quechee Gorge is one of New England’s most popular natural wonders, often called Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon. Stroll the walking paths at the peak of the fall season! The wonders continue at  Quechee Village, with some of the best shopping in the state. Enjoy lunch on your own, visit the Cabot Store, Vermont Toy & Train Museum, Yankee Candle, and more!  Your home for the next two nights will be the Commodore Inn, located in prestigious Stowe, VT. Unwind at a welcome reception tonight.

Day 4: Rolling Hills of Vermont (B, D)
After a hot breakfast, it’s a back country, rolling hills tour with stops at Emily’s Haunted Bridge, Lake Elmore, the original Vermont Country Store and more! The tour finishes with time for shopping and lunch on your own in Stowe. But save room for the afternoon Noshing Tour including tastes at the Cold Hollow Cider Mill and everyone’s favorite, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory! This evening, celebrate your trip with a farewell dinner at the Idletyme Brewing Company, a local favorite.

Day 5: Lake Champlain Cruise (B, L)
End your trip on a high note as you cruise the sparkling waters of Lake Champlain. Enjoy Lunch on the Lake in the ship’s dining rooms as you keep your eyes and cameras ready for all the lake’s beauty. You may even catch a glimpse of Champy, the resident lake legend! We then begin our journey home giving you time to bid farewell to your friends as you arrive home with wonderful memories of a colorful fall in New England.
